Statutory Guidance - Carbon Monoxide Alarms

The Scottish Government has issued statutory guidance for the provision of carbon monoxide alarms in private rented housing. The guidance will take effect from the 1 December 2015.

The guidance requires a landlord to fit carbon monoxide detector(s) in their property if there is a combustion appliance(s) eg gas boiler to give warning of concentrations of CO gas hazardous to health. See attached information for further details.
