The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service has produced fire safety leaflets highlighting the importance of keeping common stairs clear of combustible materials and having a fire action plan. We fully support the guidance issued by the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and would urge everyone to take the time to read the leaflets shown below.

As from the 1 June 2017 the standard rate of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) will increase from 10% to 12%. All policies renewing on or after this date will incur the additional 2% charge.  

IPT is set by the UK Government and may be subject to change.

The Scottish Government has published a consultation into energy efficiency in the privated rented sector. The consultation seeks to bring forward proposals to ensure all privately rented homes in Scotland meet a minimum standard of energy efficiency and asks for views on all properties requiring a minimum Energy Performance Certificate rating of 'E' from 2019, rising to 'D' from 2022.
