Trinity Factors manages two adjacent self catering holiday cottages on the island of North Uist in the Hebrides (Scotland’s Western Isles). The cottages are very similar and are situated near Lochmaddy on North Uist and can be let on a weekly or monthly basis all year round. Both cottages are decorated and furnished to a high standard and are equipped with all modern appliances, e.g. microwave, washer/drier dishwasher etc.

Formerly the church and manse, this unique accommodation is located in the small fishing and crofting community of Loch Portain, nine miles from the delightful village of Lochmaddy on the island of North Uist.

Attractions include beautiful, magnificent, empty and huge beaches; wild salmon; sea-trout and brown trout fishing; the RSPB Bird Sanctuary at Balranald and many other outdoor activities. A variety of outdoor activities including: water sports, diving, absailing, rock climbing, and horse riding can be arranged nearby. There is also a golf course where visitors are welcome.

A Post Office community, arts centre and cafe, a hotel and the Bank of Scotland are in Lochmaddy, where the ferry arrives from Skye. A mobile shop calls on Thursdays. Both cottages are available to rent at any time of year.

Formely the manse, this cottage has one double and two twin bedrooms, a living room, fully modernised kitchen, separate dining room and bathroom with large bath and brilliant shower. The sitting room looks over The Priest’s Loch , while the kitchen and one of the bedrooms has a great view over Loch Portain itself – see image below

An Taigh Boighreach

This most attractive cottage was originally the church and was converted in 1997 and is decorated and equipped to a very high standard, while retaining period ecclesiastical features. There is one double and one twin bedroom, open plan living room with dining area and a semi-separated kitchen area (see image below). Shower room with toilet. Small sun porch overlooking the sea, and Lochmaddy in the distance - see image below
