Trinity Factors - In The Community

Trinity Factors was established in 1976 and now operates from offices at 209-211 Bruntsfield Place in Edinburgh and 1 South Mount Street in Aberdeen.

We feel that businesses should support the community in which they operate and to this end we support community projects as well as national and international charities. Our preference is to support smaller charities and community projects which will truly benefit from our suport.

We can help with good old-fashioned cash or alternatively, and becoming increasingly popular, with materials, printing, postage or loan of equipment eg vans, trailers and man power.

Here are some examples of organisations we have recently helped.

	Appeal Of The Arts Erskine Stewarts Melville Schools Edinburgh	We have provided financial support to an innovative programme to construct a major performing arts centre on campus

	Bethany Christian Trust Edinburgh Homelessness & addiction www.bethanychristiantrust.com	Bethany is a wonderful charity working in this difficult field. We pass on redundant furniture etc from flats in our care. Recycling at its best! When we are furnishing flats in our care, we support Bethany, British Heart Foundation and Barnardos in particular, as well as other charity shops.

	CRY National Charity www.c-r-y.org.uk	CRY Cardiac Risk in the Young provides support and care for young people with heart disorder. They welcome used postage stamps and they get all ours.

	Eric Liddell Centre Morningside Edinburgh www.eric-liddell.org	We are corporate members and supporters. The Centre’s work and its use by local community groups provide many benefits to the public: caring for older people, those with disability and children. The advancement of education, health, religion, civic responsibility, community development, amateur sports, arts, culture and heritage. In 2010 we helped further by providing our professional services free of charge to project manage the creation of a 3 bedroom flat within the centre; which we now manage to provide significant, regular income to the centre.

	Garvald Centre Physical & Learning Difficulties Edinburgh www.garvaldedinburgh.org.uk	Garvald Centre has been helping adults with learning difficulties for 35 years. Art & Craft workshops - painting, pottery, weaving & stained glass work. We are pleased to annually gift the first prize for their fund-raising raffle - this year it's a week in one of our Hebridean Holiday Cottages.

	John Muir Trust Pitlochry Scotland www.jmt.org	The John Muir Trust exists to protect Scotland's wildest places. We're delighted to support financially - it seems appropriate as property managers as some of the property in our care is woodland, garden ground and amenity space. ( Although admittedly we wouldn't call it wild )

	Mercy Ships An international charity operating hospital ships www.mercyships.org.uk	We were delighted to pay for 5 cataract operations in west Africa. Bringing the gift of sight.

	National Trust for Scotland Scotland www.nts.org.uk	We were delighted to respond to a request for modest funding to assist improvements to the Education Room at Newhailes, near Musselburgh

	Pitlochry Festival Theatre Pitlochry Highland Perthshire www.pitlochry.org.uk	We are financially supporting the theatre's bold plans for redevelopment and expansion. Good Luck!

	Rotary Youth Leadership Award Firrhill High School Edinburgh http://www.rotary1020.org.uk/ryla.asp	RYLA is an outdoor education opportunity for school-age children, organised by Rotary International. We're sponsoring one place each year for 3 years to enable a pupil chosen by Firrhill High School to attend the course at Ardeonaig on Loch Tay.

	ShelterBox Helston Cornwall www.shelterbox.org	With the support of many of our staff and our clients, we've raised over Ł2000 to buy 4 shelterboxes - Emergency accommodation and equipment. A Rotary global charity. Shelterboxes contain a family sized tent and all equipment to live, sleep and cook, following, for example, natural disasters like the earthquake in Japan.

	Skillshare International Based in Leicester Working in Africa & Asia www.skillshare.org	We matched the gift by a member of our staff to assist in promoting worldwide justice, equality and eradicating poverty

	Sue Ryder Care Aberdeen Provides support for those with cerebral palsy www.suerydercare.org	We purchased a brilliant painting of Creel boats on the River Dee, donated to the charity by a local artist. You are welcome to view it in our Aberdeen office - no appointment necessary. We might even run to a cup of coffee!

	The Prince's Trust Started by HRH The Prince of Wales, this trust supports young people within the UK. www.princes-trust.org.uk	We've supported an initiative to raise funds for the trust by buying and giving away loads of Green bags - for shopping - to cut down on plastic carrier bags.

	WeeCycle This appeal is now closed www.justgiving.com/paulabraham www.weecycle.co.uk	Raising Ł20000 to support scientific research at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, into molecular diagnostic techniques in Hodgkin’s, non-Hodgkin’s, Leukaemia and Myeloma. We donated Ł500
